Display Overbook Indicator and Manage Column Settings for Group’s Reserved and Staged Reservations

Stay is enhanced to display indicators when rooms are overbooked at the property or group level for a group’s reserved and staged reservations. Users can also configure the columns to be displayed in the Staging and Reservations sections in the Reservations tab of groups.

Feature Setting

The following new feature setting is introduced to enable users to perform bulk updates and manage the column settings for the group reservations:

  • Name: Group Reservations - Bulk Update

  • Value: Must be enabled

  • Comments: License is not required

Permissions

The following existing permissions are required to perform overbooking at the group and property level:

  • OverbookingHotel

  • OverbookingRoomType

  • OverbookHotelAvailLimited 

  • OverbookRoomTypeLimited

To support this enhancement, the following changes have been made:

  • A new indicator is added to the group’s reserved and staged reservations, when rooms are overbooked at the group level.

  • A new legend is added next to the Bulk Update button to display the property and group overbook indicators to the users.

  • The existing View button is renamed as Column Settings. When clicked, the Manage Column Settings screen appears.

Displaying Overbook Indicators

The new group overbook indicator is displayed when the rooms are overbooked at the group level and the existing property overbook indicator is displayed when the rooms are overbooked at the property level.

For example, the total number of King rooms available in the property is 10. The number of rooms blocked for a group is 5. When the room type of a group reservation is updated as King, the new Group Overbook Indicator is displayed for the reservation as the overbooking has occurred at the group level. When the room type is updated as King for 6 reservations, the existing Property Overbook Indicator is displayed as the overbooking has occurred at the property level.

If there is an overbooking at the group and property level, the property level overbook indicator is displayed as priority.

This screen allows users to select the following columns to be displayed in the Staging and Reservations sections:
